① AUDIO FILE FORMAT

【 FILE FORMATS 】
⚫︎ WAV or AIFF audio file
We recommend that you use a file transfer service (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer etc.) when submitting us your master files.
If the file format is an mp3, we can convert it to WAV (1,000JPY per side) upon request.

【 BIT RATE/SAMPLING FREQUENCY 】
⚫︎ 16bit / 44.1kHz only
If the master source is high rate (e.g. 24bit / 48kHz), we can convert to 16bit / 44.1kHz (per side 1,000JPY) upon request.

【 RECOMMENDED FILES 】
⚫︎ 1 file for all songs on side A, 1 file for all songs on side B
Regardless of the number of songs, we prefer that each side be submitted as a single file, with a silence between songs.
The process can proceed speedily according to the data, leading to shorter delivery times.On the other hand, we can accept files that are separated by song (if it is difficult for the customer to edit each side into a single file), but it may take time to check the format of each file and compare it with the track list.

【 FILE NAME 】
⚫︎ ①Catalog #・②A/B side
We are managing production by catalog number, so please give us the part number (any number is fine) and indicate the A/B side.
(e.g. ABCD-0001_SIDE-A.wav、ABCD-0001_SIDE-B.wav)

f you are submitting separate files for each song, please be sure to indicate (1) catalog number, (2) side A/B, and (3) song order in each file name.
(e.g. ABCD-0001_SIDE-A01.wav、ABCD-0001_SIDE-B01.wav)

【 SOUND LEVEL 】
⚫︎ Mastering of both A/B sides with less extreme differences in the level of each song.
For the sound master you send us, we basically adjust the recording level from the peak to start duplication. However, in the case of very extreme high or low frequencies such as the following, it may be difficult to adjust the level.
・High range: sibilance (tooth marks) when the high range is overemphasized.
・Low range: when the low frequency level is too high, such as the open note of the E-string.

② TAPE LENGTH

【 MAX UP 90 MIN (45 MIN PER SIDE) 】
⚫︎ The prices are listed as reference prices for each 10 minutes, such as 10 minutes round-trip, 20 minutes round-trip, etc. The magnetic tapes are inserted into the cassette shell of your choice after duplication according to the sound source you submitted, not ready-made 10-minute tapes, 20-minute tapes, etc.This ensures that there are no excess parts left over at the end of the tape.
Therefore, there is no need to adjust the sound source to exactly the right length, such as 10 or 20 minutes.The normal specification is up to 60 minutes on both sides of A/B (30 minutes x 2 on each side), but up to 90 minutes on both sides (45 minutes x 2 on each side) is possible with the use of thinner magnetic tape.

【 DUPLICATION METHOD 】
⚫︎ After recording with a high-specification professional cassette duplicator, a high-performance professional cassette loader inserts the pre-recorded tape into the cassette shell.
Instead of dubbing duplicates of the master source onto a ready-made blank tape containing magnetic tape, after recording to any length of the sound source on an open-reel shaped magnetic tape called a pancake first. Then, the recorded magnetic tape is inserted one by one fully automatically into a blank cassette shell that does not contain any tape.This enables mass production of completely new cassette tapes in a short period of time.

【 ABOUT TOTAL MINUTES 】
⚫︎ The number of recorded minutes is half for each side (side A and side B) compared to the number of tape minutes.
The tape length will be adjusted to the side with the longer recording time. For example, in the following cases,

・Side-A total：7 minutes
・Side-B total：3 minutes
→ The total of sides A and B is 10 minutes, but the tape minutes are 7 minutes times the longer side, so the total minutes will be 14 minutes.

In addition, a clear leader tape is inserted at the beginning and end of the cassette tape to prevent exposure of the magnetic tape portion.
The silent portion during playback, including the leader tape, is set at approximately 12 seconds, and changes such as shortening the number of seconds in this silent portion are not allowed by the standard.The playback speed of recorded magnetic tapes is kept within an error margin of ±0.1% (our measurement).

③ TEST TAPE

⚫︎ If you wish to confirm the recorded sound on cassette tape before mass production, we can produce a “TEST TAPE” that will serve as a verification.
Test tape production is available for 6,000JPY per project.If you modify the sound source and request a test tape again, a test tape production fee will be charged each time. Please understand this beforehand.
Since the test tape will contain only the sound source, we will send you only the cassette itself without any printed materials such as the label or jacket.

Mass production will begin only after we have received your approval of the sound source of the test tape we have sent you, so additional production days may be required from your requested date.

④ ON-SITE ADJUSTMENT

⚫︎ For those who wish to have master adjustments made prior to duplication, such as cassette-specific distortion countermeasures, you can visit to our plant and make level adjustments with the factory engineer.

【 VISIT OVERVIEW 】
This location is not a studio but a manufacturing plant with production lines in operation. We do not do mixing or mastering, but rather adjustment of levels (distortion, dB, sound pressure, etc.) prior to duplication.

Please note that we can only accept the on-site visit by customers who have already placed an order for cassette tapes that have been submitted as masters for production.We do not accept for masters other than those already ordered, and we do not allow visitors from the general public to observe our work.

【 APPLICATION INFORMATION 】
・We require a complete appointment (approx. 1 hour) due to the need for prior scheduling. Please call or e-mail our representative to make an appointment.
・After we receive your reservation, we will send you a Visitor Entry Form as an email attachment.Please fill out each item, read the terms and conditions, and return the form as an email attachment (we reserve the right to refuse admission to any person who does not fill out the form or to a large number of people).
・We ask that you bear the cost of producing a test tape (6,000JPY per project), which will be used as a verification board.If you have already requested a test tape at the time of quotation, no cost will be incurred (if you have a different request, there may be an additional cost).
・Photography and video recording is only allowed in areas that have been approved in advance by our company, and we may ask you to take measures such as dust control for sanitation purposes.
・No studio functionality is provided, so the listening environment is limited.

Please note that we may not be able to accept reservations near your desired date when the factory is busy because we will be present at the factory where the production line is in operation on top of the production line. We appreciate your understanding.
