CASSETTE WEEK(Cassette Store Day)は音楽メディアとしてのカセット有用性を呼びかける世界同時開催の年次イベントで、賛同アーティストによるカセットテープでの一斉リリースが10月第3週に行われます。
Cassette Store Dayは2013年に英国・ロンドンでスタート後、欧州やアメリカを始め、アジアなど世界的な規模に成長。2021年からはアメリカのCASSETTE WEEKが後継イベントとなったカセットテープの祭典です。日本では2016年から公式開催となっており、カセットテープ国産化から60周年となる2026年は、姉妹イベント「カセットの日」を通じて、過去から現在も進化を続けているカセットの「TRACE ‒ 布石をたどる」をテーマに、 ライフスタイルの中で音楽に向き合うメディアとしてカセットの体験・復刻・芸術・文化・展示イベントも開催します。

カセットテープでの限定リリースを公式サイトにてエントリーしていただけます。
事務局はプレスリリース・公式サイト・フライヤーなどで皆様の参加作品を告知掲載いたします。レコード店様には公式ストアとして登録していただき、エントリー商品をセレクティブに販売いただけます。加えて、カセットウィークに向けてインストア・Pop-upなどイベント展開も可能です。
公式エントリーの参加は無料です！
カセットでしたら新譜のみならず旧譜や復刻盤、コンピレーション、デモテープ、トーク、ライブ、環境音楽な度に加えて、カセット関連のアパレルやグッズ、プレーヤーなども販売可能です。発注いただいた公式ストア、独自流通・限定会場・店舗及びオンラインなどで自由に販売していただけます。

特に、多くの⽅にカセットの魅⼒に触れていただくため、 ｢カセットマーケット｣を1日限定で開催します。会場には約30社のレコード店・ストアが集結します！
国内外カセットテープやアナログメディア、カセットプレーヤーの展示販売が行われます。
▶︎会場に設けられるCASSETTE WEEKブースでは、エントリー作品の委託販売(手数料無)もできまます！会場への分納にも対応。カセット製作前でもエントリー可能ですので、多くの方が来場されるリアル店舗にて、プロモーションの一環としてご活用いかがでしょうか？

CASSETTE WEEK (formerly Cassette Store Day) is an annual event held around the world to promote the usefulness of the cassette as a music media, and artists who support this purpose will release their titles simultaneously on cassette tape during the 3rd week of October. Since its launch in London, UK in 2013, the event has grown to a global scale in Europe, the US and Asia. The event has been officially held in Japan since 2016. In 2026, marking the 60th anniversary of the domestic production of cassette tapes, a sister event titled “Cassette Days” will be held under the theme “TRACE – Tracing the Foundations,” celebrating the cassette’s ongoing evolution from the past to the present. The event will feature experiences, reissues, art, culture, and exhibitions showcasing the cassette as a medium for engaging with music in everyday life.Our Japan office will spread your cassette release more globally than in previous years through our official website, SNS and press releases. We welcomes not only Japanese labels and artists, but also those from the neighbouring Asia-Pacific region!

In particular, the “Cassette Market,” aimed at introducing many people to the charm of cassettes, will be held on Monday, October 12 at WPU SHINJUKU in Tokyo. Approximately 20 record stores and shops gathered at the venue! Selected domestic and international cassette tapes and analog media, along with cassette players and vintage radio-cassette players, will be on display and for sale. Related apparel and goods booths will be featured, complemented by cassette DJs playing on cassette tapes to energize the event. And CASSETTE WEEK has planned events that visitors can participate in, such as cassette tape dubbing and cassette DJ experiences—opportunities that are hard to find elsewhere.
At the venue, CASSETTE WEEK can also handle consignment sales for products signed up. Why not enter your cassette works and use this as part of your promotion? “CASSETTE EXPRESS” will support those who sign up their release by offering cassette tape production at a special discounted price.
