日本で公式イベントがスタートしてから11年目の2026年はカセットテープが国産化されてから60周年の節目であり、CASSETTE WEEK事務局主催の姉妹イベント「カセットの日」も通じてカセット進化の布石を体験できるイベントを今年夏に国内各所で行なっています。アナログメディアが再注目されている現代のミュージックシーンおいて、欠かせないアイテムとなりつつあるカセットの魅力を存分に堪能するのにふさわしい一年ではないでしょうか。
イベントを通じて多くの方にカセットの魅力を存分に楽しんでいただくことを目指しており、10月第3週に開催のCASSETTE WEEKに際した公式マーケットイベント「CASSETTE WEEK MARKET 2026」を10月12日(月・祝)の1日のみ東京・WPU SHINJUKUにて催します。会場では、毎年大盛況となる事務局主催の「カセットDJ」イベントも行われます。

カセット・レコード・オーディオの専門ショップをはじめ、関連グッズなどの販売店が集結します。さらに、カセットテープ国産化60周年を迎える本年は、会場エリアを拡張して、ワークショップや録音・聴き比べなど実際にカセットテープに触れ、その魅力を体感できるプログラムも実施します。
会場では、カセット全盛期にFMラジオからお気に入りの曲をテープに録音(エアチャック)する際の必須アイテム「FM STATION」誌とコラボしたデザインのインデックスカード入りの特別版冊子をご来場された方に無料配布します！
The year 2026 marks the 11th anniversary of the launch of official events in Japan, as well as the 60th anniversary of the domestic production of cassette tapes. This summer, events are being held across the country, organized by the CASSETTE WEEK Secretariat in conjunction with the sister event ‘Cassette Day’, offering visitors the chance to experience the milestones in the evolution of the cassette. In 2026, we aim to enable as many people as possible to fully enjoy the appeal of cassettes through our events. To mark CASSETTE WEEK, which takes place in the third week of October, we will be holding the official market event, ‘CASSETTE WEEK MARKET 2026’, on Monday 12 October. Furthermore, following on from last year’s hugely successful event, we have decided to organise another DJ event hosted by the organising committee.
The event will bring together specialist shops selling cassettes, records and audio equipment, as well as retailers of related merchandise. Furthermore, as this year marks the 60th anniversary of the domestic production of cassette tapes, the venue area has been expanded compared to last year, and we will be running programmes—such as workshops, recording sessions and listening comparisons—that allow visitors to handle cassette tapes first-hand and experience their appeal.

Admission is free for both the gallery and lounge areas. The café on the 1st floor will be open, and a permanent drink counter will be available on the 2nd floor. We’ll be hosting cassette experience sessions and workshops that the whole family can enjoy, even if you’re visiting with children, and we have plenty of special perks in store for our guests.
