Typical label for cassette tapes
On-demand printing with a high-definition laser printer prints designs in full color on white sticker paper and attaches them to the cassette shell.
Suitable for fine text and delicate logo designs, and different designs are possible on both sides of A/B (only one side is possible).

We can also handle large-lot offset printing (with machine proofing) and pre-printed paper labels supplied by the customer. In this case, we use an automatic gluing and attaching machine for production.

Printed on 40 mm (H) x 88 mm (W) white coated paper with a die-cut on center.

Direct on-body printing on the cassette shell
CASSETTE EXPRESS prints designs and logos on cassettes using a commercial UV inkjet printer.The full-color CMYK+white printing system allows for different designs on both sides (single-sided printing is also possible), and printing is available not only on the standard label area, but also on the entire surface of A/B for an optional fee.

⚫︎ABOUT CMYK INK
・It is a method of expressing color by multiplying four color inks (Cyan・Magenta・Yellow・Key tone ≒ Black).
・When the color is “White” or “Black,” cost-saving printing is possible due to the use of dedicated inks.
・In the case of “one other color” or “multiple colors,” the “full color” option is to multiply four CMYK inks to create a color and print on a white base.
・It is possible to print without white on the substrate, but the finish will be translucent and difficult to see.
・Special colors are not allowed for direct printing on the body.

⚫︎DESIGN GUIDE
・Please submit the design after outlining without bleed.
・As a rule, we recommend line widths of at least 5 pt and text of at least 2 mm. Lines and text less than this may not fully reflect the original design.
・Depending on the color of the cassette shell, plastic seams from the manufacturing process may be noticeable, and may be hidden with paper label stickers, but may be noticeable with direct on-body printing, depending on the design. Please understand this beforehand.
・After confirming the submitted data, we will send you a PDF proof as an email attachment. Mass production will begin upon your approval.

It will be a flat area other than the left and right rotation holes in the same range as the paper label sticker.

Full-body option for direct on-body printing
Full color printing of the entire area of the cassette body up to the top, bottom, left and right edges on both sides of the A/B cassette.

⚫︎CLEAR/TINT/TRANSPARENT SHELLS
Specifications with a transparent body and no window frame in the center can be printed on the entire surface without any problem.

⚫︎SOLID OPAQUE COLOR SHELLS
The specifications with a window frame in the center have a transparent hard plastic or thin film attached from the back side. Printing in this area is possible, but the finish will look a little more secluded than in other areas

⚫︎DESIGN GUIDE
・As with standard direct on-body printing, please submit the design after outlining without bleed.
・If the design is on the top, bottom, left, right edges, rotating rollers, center window frame, or bottom hole opening, there is a possibility that part of the design will not be reflected or ink may adhere to the inside.
・The sides are not included in the scope of printing.
・After confirming the submitted data, we will send you a PDF proof as an email attachment. Mass production will begin upon your approval.

⚫︎ EMBOSSED SEAL

Minimalistic plastic labels with a retro feel
Alphabets and numbers are stamped from the back of plastic color tape to raise white letters, which are then pasted on in place of label stickers. DYMO, which originated in California, U.S.A. in 1957, is a very nostalgic labeling item for those who used to use it back then, and it has become so popular in Japan that it is thought that there used to be one in every household.

Due to the characteristics of products made by hand, individual differences in shading may occur due to printing pressure on the label, but we ask for your understanding of this as a retro look. Since it takes time to manufacture, orders are basically for one side of the cassette shell only, in small lots, and with a sufficient lead time.

Engraved design on the cassette shell
As with direct printing on the body, it is difficult to reflect very fine text or logos, but laser engraving provides a different kind of cassette finish.
Since manufacturing takes time, we can accommodate projects with a reasonable delivery time.
The same technique can be used to laser-engrave (on the surface only) the plastic case into which the cassette is inserted.
